Former chief expert of composite material manufacturing technology in China aviation industry, presided over and completed the development of composite components for more than 10 models of military and civilian aircraft; the national 973 and 863 scientific and engineering research projects on composite components and a number of national scientific research projects; the development of composite spherical pressure partition frames and large-scale double-curvature longitudinal and transverse reinforced wall panels for the fuselage structure of the C919 China-made large passenger aircraft, breaking the monopoly of Boeing and Airbus in this field.
Dr. Xu Jian
Chief Scientist
A member of the Joint Meeting of the National New Materials Industry Development Expert Advisory Committee and the Strategic Emerging Industries Development Expert Advisory Committee, as well as the vice president of the Chinese Society of Composite Materials. His research has advanced key technologies in stabilized engineering preparation and ultra-high performance of polyacrylonitrile carbon fibers using sol-gel modulation. He also solved issues related to ultra-high performance of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers and developed several new micro- and nanostructured biomimetic surface materials, with four products ranking among the top four globally. From 2001 to 2015, he led the Expert Group and 304 Special Project of the National 863 Program in new materials and served as chief expert in this field.

In the design and development of fishing rods, acting as the “bridge between functionality and aesthetics,” responsible for integrating materials science, engineering principles, user experience, and visual design to ultimately create products that combine high performance with market appeal.
